All of our classes begin with guests mingling over seafood canapes and a glass of wine. Then, moving into our tiered theatrette, the first half of the class is a live cooking demonstration by one of our experienced team members. The second half is your hands-on cooking experience, working at a fully-equipped cooking island, where you recreate the demonstrated dish(es), with help from our team if needed. Then, sit down and enjoy your creation (with another complimentary glass of wine) at the end of the class.

Sydney Seafood School is located at Sydney Fish Market, Pyrmont (car park entrance off Bank St), on the 1st Floor of the Waterfront Arcade.

Enter the Waterfront Arcade from the car park. Just past the entrance, on the left, there are double glass doors. Go through the doors and up the stairs, then turn left at the top of the stairs.

Parking is available in the Sydney Fish Market car park. Enter the car park from Bank St.

Parking for Sydney Seafood School guests is free; please bring your parking ticket to the class to have it validated.

Yes!

• Guests aged 15 years and older are welcome to attend a class unaccompanied - maybe we'll inspire the next generation of top chefs!
• Children aged 12-14 years old can come to a class with an accompanying adult.
• You can still bring kids 11 years or younger to a class, but they won't be able to participate in the cooking.

We also offer specialised kid's cooking classes for ages 7-13! Keep an eye on our class schedule for these classes.

Please bring a pen if you wish to make notes and it's a good idea (for safety) to wear enclosed shoes with non-slip soles. We also suggest bringing a container for leftovers.

We'll provide:

• A recipe kit
• Top quality ingredients
• All equipment
• An apron (that you can take home!)
• Free parking validation.

Sydney Seafood School is not licensed for guests to bring their own wine, however we do provide a complimentary glass upon arrival, and another to enjoy with your the meal at the conclusion of each class.

We also have a house riesling, a pinot noir, and craft beer available for purchase at the class.

Note: It is against the law to sell or supply alcohol to, or obtain alcohol for, anyone under 18.

We recommend booking 3 weeks in advance for weekend classes, as numbers are limited.

Most bookings may be changed at least 3 business days before the class date by calling 02 9004 1111 or emailing sss@sydneyfishmarket.com.au.

Changes within 3 business days of the class date, or to classes booked using a discount or promotional code, are not permitted, but you are welcome to send another person in your place.

Some classes are gluten-free or dairy-free, and we are also happy to discuss how your hands-on cooking experience can be modified to cater for dietary requirements.

If you have a dietary requirement, please give us a call on 02 9004 1111 prior to making a booking, and we can advise suitable classes or class modifications for you.

Dollar value gift certificate
You can purchase a gift certificate for any value and the recipient can use it towards any class(es) within the next 3 years. This gift certificate is recommended as it allows the recipient to choose their favourite class to attend at a time that suits them. It is a good idea to bring your confirmation email to the class (or at least have it available on your phone), although it is not essential.
